15 New Teachers Commissioned

Updated Aug. 29, 2022 — More than 30 people from Africa, Colombia, Australia and the United States participated in the 2022 Bethel Bible Series Summer Teacher Training in July via Zoom or in person at Madison, WI.

Fifteen people completed the requirements to be commissioned as new teachers and others are expected to qualify in the coming months. The newly certified teachers include:

  • Cheryl Sidler, Ankeny, IA

  • Elizabeth Martensen, King of Kings Lutheran Church, Arvada, CO

  • Feng Dong, Flagstone Foundation, Arlington, VA

  • Ricard Batcheller, Cedars Church, Newark, CA

  • Pastor Peter Muhoro, PEFA Church, Mt. Kenya, Kenya

  • Manna Ministries, Kenya:

    • Pastor Aloice Akoth

    • Pastor Francis Okudo

    • Bishop Benson Musyimi

    • Pastor Charles Njuki 

    • Pastor Dennis Ochieng

    • Apostle Willis Onyango

  • St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK:

    • Janet King

    • Marjorie Harris

    • Mary Robinson

    • Velma Smith

For 60+ years, the Bethel Bible Series has helped congregations realize the meaning and mission of the church in today’s world. Many pastors say this training helped energize their congregations, grow participation in church activities, and increase commitments of time, money and talents, according to Rev. Jeff Quinto, Executive Director of the Bethel Bible Series.
